Start of the Season
Hello, all cruisers!
What feels like just a couple weeks ago I was sending a message about champs, I'm sending one now to talk about the start of the season. The first practice of the season starts this coming Monday (5/21). We have new practice times for afternoon practices prior to school being out.
The following practices are:
Beginners: 4-430pm
10 and under 430-530pm
11 and older - 530-630pm
For these practices, please have your swimmer prepared for both water and land activities. We're not sure what the water temps will be next week until practices start. If the water is fine, we will be in the water ready to go, but if the water is too cold/unbearable, we will do some activities on land (most likely the back of the parking lot). Have swimsuit, towel, and goggles for the water and have tennis shoes and socks packed as well in case we are on land. We will let everyone know what the decision is for practices as soon as we can.
I would also like to let everyone know that the coaching staff is set. Bryn Onweller will be coming back for another season. We also have 3 new coaches that will be moving up to join the coaching side of the swim team for the 2018 season: Emily Elmore, Lindsay Corbett, and Dain Ripol. We are all excited to get the season going!
There is a new parent meeting this Sunday 5/20 for anyone that is brand new to the swim team at the clubhouse from 2pm-3pm. Come say hi to the staff and bring any questions that you may have for us.
I'll check in wither everyone whether we will be doing RainedOut again and more information about Meet 1 when we get a little bit closer. Hope everyone has been doing great since the last season ended and can't wait to get to work!
