Colonies 1083   - Wellesley 1038

The whole meet was super close the whole time and about halfway thru the meet, we were only up 5pts, but all the swimmers finished strong and pulled out a victory!

My one main concern from the night where people leaving before their events were done without telling a coach. We, unfortunately, had a lot of swimmers leave due to illness and injuries throughout the whole night. Thank you for checking out with us and we hope everyone is feeling a lot better today. But there was a lot that left the meet with individual races as well as relays to go. We had to scatch several relays including two of them where 3 of the 4 swimmers were sitting in the clerk waiting and I had to send them home because people left without telling a coach nor checking the relay board. Please, please, please check the relay board at check-in and throughout the meet. If we have a lot of changes, like last night, I will send out a text that says to check the board.  Please help one another out as well and spread the word about relays especially if you see a change to the boards (changes will be in a different colored marker).

News for the next few days:

This afternoon: Skittles practice at normal afternoon practice times. 

Tomorrow: 

*No swim practices or clinic. 

*Please come and swim in the swim-a-thon tomorrow to help raise money for a great cause! Will start at 9am. There will be delicious pancake breakfast severed afterward. 

* 24hr swim-a-thon will start at 9am as well. Please come earlier to settle in and be ready to go at exactly 9am. 

* RSVP for Meet 4 by noon Friday. Next swim meet is on Tuesday and we're planning on doing meet entries during the 24hr swim-a-thon. 

Next week:

* Meet 4 will be on Tuesday at Chestnut Oaks

* No practice Wednesday. Happy 4th of July

* Fun practice Thursday (10-11am for donuts/games) (3:30-6pm Skittles Practice)

* Friday will be a normal morning practice and a swim clinic 3-4pm (Details announced later)
