Hello Cruisers,
I am excited to announce some positive developments for our swim team season. The CSTC Board of Directors has decided to allow the swim team to access the pool for practices beginning June 15, provided Virginia is in Phase 2 at that point.

We are tentatively planning to open online registration for the 2020 season on Friday May 22. Much more information about the season, registration, and protocols to keep everyone safe will be coming very soon.

GRAL has also announced their plan for the season stating the following:

"As a league, we will follow the State guidelines for social distancing including the
recommendations. The basis of this plan is to have a season that corresponds
with the Phase 3 plans. If that is delayed beyond expectations, then we will
adjust as needed."

Season Recommendations

"It doesn't look like the Phase 2 will be over any earlier than June 12, probably June 19. Almost certainly Phase 2 will be over by June 26th giving the teams plenty of time in groups of 50 to run practices based on their individual team/HOA guidelines. We will not try and run meets during Phase 2.

If Phase 2 ends June 12:

Meet #1 must be completed by 6/19

Remaining schedule remains

If Phase 2 ends June 19:

Meet #1 will be canceled

Meet #2 must be completed by 6/26

Remaining schedule remains

If Phase 2 ends June 26:

Meets #1 and #2 will be canceled

Meet #3 to be completed by 7/3

Remaining schedule remains

If Phase 2 ends later than June 30:

The GRAL season will be canceled."

Please note that even if the GRAL season is cancelled due to Phase 2 ending later than June 30, the Colonies Cruisers will still explore opportunities to continue practices and have unofficial swim meets with other nearby swim teams, as allowed by the CSTC.
