Dear Colonies Swim Team,

We're a week away from our first meet! I would like to quickly highlight a couple of events leading up to the meet:

• Starting tomorrow (7/1) - All morning practice times will move a half hour earlier. Afternoon practice times will remain the same. Swimmers are encouraged to attend morning practices due to limited pool space in the afternoons.
• At Practice on Thursday (7/2) - Drag Practice! All swimmers ages 9 and older are encouraged to bring an old, clean t-shirt to wear during their practices. It will be a fun way to get a good workout leading into the holiday weekend and the first meet!
• Before Thursday night (7/2) - Please continue to RSVP for meet 1 on Swimtopia. It should only take a minute.  All swimmers who RSVP yes before the RSVP closes on Thursday night will be guaranteed a place on a relay.
• Practices Friday (7/3) - All practices this Friday are cancelled.
• Practices Monday (7/6) - We will be hosting a mock meet during all practices on Monday to help swimmers learn what to expect at the real meet on Tuesday night. I highly recommend all swimmers come to at least one of the practices, especially our first year swimmers!
• Monday Night (7/6) - Back by popular demand, the Colonies Swim Team will host another tailgate Monday night from 6:00 - 7:30 PM! This time we will tailgate in the Colonies parking lot and will have Deep Run Road House delivered to the pool. I highly encourage all families to bring your own chairs (and tables, if desired) and spread out in the parking lot! The coaches will in attendance and can answer any last minute questions about the meet. To have your dinner delivered to the pool on Monday, please order by 5:00 PM Friday (7/3) via phone or online through DRR's website (https://deeprunroadhouse.com/category/restaurant-menu-restaurant-menu/). During checkout, please select 7/6 for 5:45 PM and in the comments include "Part of the Colonies Swim Team Order." All the food will be delivered to the pool by 6:00!
• At the Meet (7/7) - The coaches decided Meet 1 will be Red, White, and Blue themed. Please feel free to dress up however you'd like!
