Important Swim Meet Information! Please Read Carefully :)
Everything you need to know before you go!!
Covid screening - All parents and swimmers must stop at the volunteer check in table by the main walkway to complete the Covid screening questions.
Pool Entrances/Exits-Swimmers and parents may enter and exit the pool either through the gate closest to Causeway by the lifeguard desk or the gate from the clubhouse/tennis courts. Please observe proper distancing when entering and exiting the pool.
Designated Spectator Areas: Spectators may observe races, spaced appropriately, from the decking area at the turn end of the pool. This area will be marked by cones and is not available for family seating. Observation areas are also available along the edges of the pool closest to lanes 1 and 6. Spectators may cycle on & off as spacing allows, remaining respectful of other parents who want to watch their swimmers.
Volunteers and masks: All parents/volunteers should come to the meet prepared with masks for when they are in situations that prohibit social distancing, similar to what the pool is asking of members.
Concessions: There will be no concession stand of any kind at Meet #1. Please remember to bring all of your own food for you and your swimmer. We will re-evaluate concessions for the next meet.
Where to Sit: When choosing seating everyone should be mindful to leave space for others to walk past while keeping distance. Families are encouraged to set up seating that allows 10’ distance from others by utilizing the spaces marked on the pool deck. Areas available for family seating include: the terraces to the left of the pool, 2 tennis courts closest to baby pool, tennis bleachers, parking lot, deck closest to gazebo, steps leading down from the middle gate, and the grassy area behind the diving boards.
Where NOT to Sit: Please do not sit on the red deck at the opposite end from the starting blocks (spectator area) or anywhere around the immediate perimeter of the pool. We are keeping this area clear for spectators to safely physically distance from each other. Another area we need to keep clear is the top deck that surrounds the clubhouse. Meet volunteers need to be able to walk through this area.
What to Bring: a mask (all adults should have a mask available for either certain volunteer positions or for when social distancing is not possible), chairs, food, swim cap, goggles, towels, and a shade source if desired (with proper weights for safety and please be respectful not to obstruct views, and also be respectful of the tennis court surface).
How to Know What Event is Being Called to the Clerk-of-Course: We will be using the SwimTopia app to alert parents about what event is being called to the clerk-of-course. Parents should have the app open on their phone, and the current meet open. You will see a “live event/heat bar” displayed near the top of the app’s screen.
