Swimmer and volunteer check-in—Begins at 4:30! The coaches and Stephanie Denholm (volunteer coordinator) will be at a table set up in the grassy area by the normal pool entrance. Please stop by this table to let coaches know you have arrived and to find out if your swimmer will be entered into a relay. All relays are finalized on the whiteboard by the coaches, which can be found at the check-in table. Also, if you signed up to volunteer during this meet, you need to check-in with Stephanie to get your volunteer sticker and/or stopwatch if you are a timer.

Meet Clean-Up: Families with last names beginning with the letter H through O are responsible for cleaning up after the meet.

Weather Related Information: We are aware that tomorrow’s forecast is not the most desirable for a swim meet. There is a GRAL protocol for weather delays that we follow:

1-Division 2 (which is us): meets must start no later than 8:30pm

2-Meets must end by 11:30pm

Cooler Temperatures:  Please have swimmers bring sweatshirts, sweatpants, extra towels or even a blanket to use in between events!

Team Photo Reminder: Team photos will be taken on Thursday, (6/24), by the photographer, Ginny O Photography. Team photo at 10AM, individual photos from 8-11 or 3-5. These are awesome images you'll want to keep!

***Fun Fact*** CHAMPS MEET QUALIFIERS: GRAL has five time standards that are used for motivational purposes and for determining who qualifies to swim at the Championship Meet (Champs) at the end of the season (7/26 & 7/27). The five categories are NoviceAdvanced, Junior Varsity (JV), Varsity, and Senior Varsity (SV).  JV, V or SV times mean that your swimmer qualified for the CHAMPS meet!

**Your ribbons will also be labeled with the time standard you earned in each event!

A Couple of Random Things to Remember: For obvious safety reasons, please talk to your swimmers about the following items:

1-The duck that has a nest near the steps might quack at you if you bother it.

2-You could get a nasty splinter if you slide down the railing from the clubhouse to the gate.

3-The big steps facing the tennis courts are awkward and sound like thunder when people play or run on them (this could potentially delay the meet!).

4-Throwing things over the deck above the bathroom area can get intense—we don’t want anyone flipping over the railing trying to catch a ball!

Please email me with any questions you might have,

Stacey Carlson
