It’s hard to believe Summer 2022 is upon us! The swim team committee wanted to send out
some important information and dates to help you plan for our upcoming swim
season.

GRAL is planning for a normal *pre-COVID* swim season. This means all meets will be in person. We will travel to three away meets and we
will host three meets at the Colonies. We
are so excited to be back to normal!

Our team has been moved up to Division 1! This means we will be swimming against the
largest teams in the league. Please be
aware that the meets will last longer than the last two summers and there will
be more spectators on the pool deck.

Swim team registration is right around the corner! March 27^th is Registration Day! The actual time that registration will become “live”
will be announced later in March. Please
be prepared to sign up for your volunteering duties in order to complete the
registration process.

To help you plan for our fun swim season, here is a list of
important dates to pencil in on your calendars:

March 27-Swim Team Registrations Opens

April 27-Swim Suit Fitting Day at the new REGENCY VA Swim
Shop in Nova. This is an all-day event
and we are getting a NEW suit this year!!
VA Swim Shop hours on this day are from 12-7pm (try to show up a little before
7).

May 16-Tentative First Day of Practice

June 15-AWAY at Raintree

June 22-AWAY at Church Run

June 29-HOME with Burkwood

July 6-HOME with Canterbury

July 13-AWAY at Hungary Creek

July 19-HOME with Raintree

July 27-Swim Team Award Ceremony

July 30—12 & Under GRAL CHAMPS Meet at Swim RVA

July 31—13 & Older GRAL CHAMPS Meet at Swim RVA
