Meet 3 Details
June 26th
Hello! Below is information and volunteer list for the home meet on Wednesday, but first a couple of items.
- We still have a hole for a first half timer for NEXT week's meet, 7/5. If you can take that spot, please let me know. Thank you to all of you who are always willing to help!
- Make sure to go ahead and RSVP for the 7/5 meet as the coaches are doing entries before the holiday weekend.
- For those who have signed up as floater - that can be either first OR second half. It's written in the job description. If you have signed up for a floater position and that doesn't work, please try to switch with someone.
- Spirit breakfast this week goes to the usual times. 10&under will eat immediately following their practices. 11&up should come at 10:30 to eat and begin practice at 10:45.
Our first home meet is Wednesday against Hanover Country Club!
- The theme this week is NEON. There will be a prize for most spirited!
- Check-in begins at 4:30, warm-up at 5, with 11&over in the pool first - please do not arrive early as the lifeguards will be setting up. Please make sure all first half volunteers are present by 5:30, concessions volunteers earlier.
- Concessions managers will email details for those signed up to bring food or ice.
- Please reserve the parking lot for the visiting team. We ask our team to park in the neighborhood.
- The terraced area closest to the parking lot is reserved for the visiting team.
- Unlike some of the pools we have visited, we do not call individual swimmers who are missing from clerk of course, so have your kids listen to the announcer.
- Remember the events will NOT be posted at the meet - they will be sent out ahead of time.
- Remind swimmers to check the relay board BEFORE leaving the meet as changes do happen.
- Take a moment to remind your kids to stay out of the baby pool and off the tennis courts. The tennis courts have recently been resurfaced and kids cannot be playing in there. Playing in the baby pool while in clerk of course is distracting for the kids and the volunteers.
