Cruisers Wins against TDC (News for the next few days)
Cruisers 1160.5 - Dominion Club 803.5
Way to win by over 300pts!!! That's a huge win for us and everyone should be proud of the win. Congrats to those who swam a new stroke, a new event, swam a personal best, and qualified for champs! Already so much as been accomplished and it's only week 2. Still, long way to go and more personal/team goals to accomplish this season. Below are a few news and announcements that need to be made.
Friday afternoon - there will be no Friday afternoon practices the rest of the season. We will hold a clinic from 3pm-4pm on those afternoons. There will be a sign-up sheet on board near the ribbon boxes (sorry for the delay, but crazy this week for me). First, 20 swimmers to sign up will be able to join the clinic. We want to keep it at a reasonable size so it's close to one on one work then what happens during practice times with a lot of swimmers there at once. This week we will be working on backstroke (starts, swim, turn, etc). If you sign up, please make sure that you do attend the clinic or let one of the coaches know that you can't make it so we can add someone in your place.
RSVP Meet 3 - We have a new cut off time to get your RSVPs in for Meet 3. That time will be Sunday at 9pm. If you try to RSVP later, the site will not allow you to do so and would need to email me after that time. We will be doing meet entrees again on Monday and need to get all RSVPs in sooner than later.
RSVP Meet 4 - While you are RSVPing for meet 3, please go ahead and RSVP for meet 4 by Thursday (June 29th). This is a quick turnaround as a lot of people, including, myself, will be gone for the weekend because of the 4th of July. We will be doing entries for this meet on Friday (June 30th) morning, so please make sure you RSVP for this meet while you RSVP for meet 3.
24hr Swim-a-thon - There's already been a couple emails about the swim-a-thon (July 7th) and more will come with that as well. For the 24hr swim-a-thon, we will be posting a sign-up sheet to see how many swimmers are interested in swimming this event. As of now, it is only open to 13-18-year-olds. It's a great event and a lot of fun! You also get 24hrs of community service hours if you need those for school.
