Hello Cruiser families!  If you know of any new families to the team, please have them contact us.

Please respond to this email if any of the following apply:

• Your swimmer will NOT be swimming this year
• Your swimmer is a senior
• You'd like to train for an officials position for this summer
• You might be interested in being parent rep starting NEXT summer
• You'd like to plan the dinner for the banquet this year (two meet shifts!)

The meet schedule is below.  Please check your calendar now and note which meets you can attend so you're ready to register.  Registration will open on Tuesday, Apr 18 at 7:00 pm.  You must sign up for all your volunteer shifts at that time. 

Registration and volunteer reminders

• Families are responsible for FIVE meet shifts, ONE team event shift and ONE food item.  
• If you have a swimmer 9 years old or above, you must sign up for at least 3 second half shifts.
• You are responsible for finding your own replacement if you can't fulfill a shift
• Floater position - you may be asked to fill in a first half, a second half or BOTH halves, but you may do nothing.
• You must have paid this summer's pool dues to register.
• You must sign up for all your shifts and pay before you are fully registered
• Any registrations made after practice begins will have a $20 late fee.
• First half concessions shifts require you to come earlier than other shifts

Extras

• Please indicate if you would like a personalized cap when registering.  We must have a minimum order to get personalization.  If the minimum is met, we will ask you to pay by check at that time.
• We hope to do a digital picture this year.  There will be no option to buy a picture at registration.
• Our suit fitting date is May 2, 4-6 pm at the swim shop at NOVA.  We get a percentage back of any purchases from our team during those hours.  The suits are not refundable, so if you're not sure that your swimmer can make the length of the pool, you can get a suit at a later time.
• Spirit wear will again be online.  We will send the link out once available.  

Practice

• Practice will begin on Wednesday, May 17.  Weather will determine if they get in the water the first week.
• Practice schedules will remain the same as last year and can be found on the website.
• Check your rainedout.com subscription to make sure you get weather updates.
• Any swimmers new to the team OR 6 years old and younger should start with the beginner practice.
• Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool without assistance and without stopping by Thursday June 1 to be on the team.  They also must be able to follow coach instructions and stay on the wall when needed.  This is up to the coaches' discretion.

• Mon Jun 12, midday - Mailbox balloon delivery
• Mon Jun 12 - Meet 1 @ Wellesley (rain makeup date is Wed Jun 14)
• Wed Jun 21 - Meet 2 @ Dominion Club
• Wed Jun 28 - Meet 3 HOME vs Hanover Country Club
• Wed Jul 5  - Meet 4 - HOME vs Kings Charter
• Fri Jul 7, 9 am - noon - all ages swim-a-thon, breakfast, and start to 24-hour swim-a-thon
• Wed Jul 12  - Meet 5 @ Mechanicsville Rec
• Tue Jul 18 - Meet 6 - HOME vs Tuckahoe Village West
• Wed Jul 26 - Awards Banquet
• Jul 28 - Champs breakfast
